Okay, it is. by Kristen http://30daybabysteps.com/2010/04/24/this-might-be-a-rant-okay-it-is/#comment-569 Mon, 26 Apr 2010 19:14:54 +0000 http://30daybabysteps.com/?p=115#comment-569 wow. that’s pathetic. when we went to see both the 2nd transformers movie and the latest harry potter movie, at each viewing, there was a 5ish year old with his parents. again, the ads of these movies portray it to be somewhat a kids movie. however, i can see harry potter giving kids nightmares; and during transformers, at the part where they are in the desert and that one decepticon is trying to find them in that house, this kid was screaming because he was scared. both of those instances are not as bad as your experience, but i feel your pain. parent shouldn’t take kids to r-rated movies. it’s just common sense.

Yeah – that is sick on a lot of levels. It’s AMAZING how many parents out there seem to have no regard for ratings, reviews, warnings, common sense. I mean -I thought it was weird when I saw multiple infant to 12 year olds at the 2nd Twilight movie at midnight on the South Side, but this is really crazy. It’s a sad statement on the majority and how children are being raised. CAN’T WAIT for those kids to be the ones responsible for us when we are senior citizens! (oh no – did I just sound like Vernon from Breakfast Club???)

If you watch the Godfather, make a Giada dish. etc etc.

If you watch 16 Candles, make a birthday cake.

We all hit those down days and fall off the wagon. The good part is that you are aware and know what you need to do. I agree that changing the routine is vital. THose three workouts for 30 days – forget it. It won’t keep you motivated. But just keep moving. that’s all. Even if you just do 50 crunches in the morning and 50 leg lifts and 50 bicep curls. That’s a little something at least. :-) Hang in there – you are on the right track to positive living!

I really like the monthly idea of your blog!
I did the 30 day shred with my sister for the first time. She didn’t even let me do level 1, straight on to level 2 and 3! Jillian sure kicks your butt. I was def sweating buckets. I know we’ll get healthy in no time with her, or we will “die”,,, hopefully the latter, wouldn’t want to satisfy miss Michaels :)
